TIME: 2pm UK | 9am EST | 90 minutes
LOCATION: Online | Plus replay (without circle for confidentiality and safety)

In a busy life, grief can be left quietly waiting to be heard in the depths of your heart. If you’ve been carrying your grief in the background while life demands you to keep going. Grief Cocoon is your 90 minute pause.

Held and gently guided by Tanya Wilkinson, an AC Certified Grief & Life Transitions Coach.

Just like a caterpillar retreats into its cocoon before emerging as a butterfly. This is a soft, nurturing space to wrap yourself in a blanket of care, tend to your grief, and allow your gentle transformation through it.

Whether you’re grieving any human (including any stage of baby loss), infertility, pet, relationship or marriage, redundancy, or world events — all are welcome here.

What makes this space unique?

In busy lives, you can push your grief aside as you hold it together for others. Or because you believe that feeling your grief might swallow you up. But just like the caterpillar, you need space to cocoon — where you can feel, process, rest and transform. This 90 minute grief support session is a gentle guided journey in the comfort of your grief cocoon at home, which will give you:

  • A sacred pause and nervous system support in a busy schedule

  • Space and ritual to honour your grief without judgment or rush

  • Softness and pacing so that you can come as you are and make it your own

  • Nature’s storytelling will guide our journey together

  • Tools to help you to listen within, to gather insights to light your forwards path

  • A focus on creating and earning safety held by a trauma informed coach

what you’ll experience in the cocoon:

ritual meaning

We start with an optional guided grief ritual — to honour your grief with intention and create sacred space for yourself. Don’t fancy doing and just want to watch? Don’t worry, you’ll receive a lot watching too

Rest, Reflect, Renew

We then flow into a guided meditation and grief journaling journey. Blending moments of stillness, followed by gently letting our words flow onto the page. With the invitation to take it at your pace

community connection

Space for a few shares from the Grief Cocoon Community, where you will be supported by me and held in community. Don’t want to speak or be on camera? That’s ok! Do what feels right for you

all grief is welcome here

You’ve been holding it all together and your grief has nowhere to land. Whether you’ve been going through grief for the loss of humans including any stage of baby loss, pets, relationships, health diagnoses, career endings, redundancy, big transitional moments in life, the devastation we’re witnessing against people and planet, and more.

If the £25 investment isn’t possible in this month’s budgets, but you want to join us — then head to the FAQ’s at the bottom of this page for how you can get a supported or free spot in the cocoon.

All tender hearts belong here.

Meet Tanya - your Grief Coach

“Grief has catalysed some of the biggest shifts in my life. Now, I help people to turn life’s tender endings into opportunities for transformation and growth.”

I’m Tanya, bereaved mother to our darling daughter Ngākau Raiona (lioness heart). I discovered that being present with her death and my grief did not make my heartbreak worse. Instead, it revealed the truth of the depth of feelings that I can hold. The beauty in the impermanence of everything. How joy and heartbreak can co-exist. Opening my heart up to more life, love and meaning - and presence, no matter what.

Now a Holistic Grief, Life & Leadership Coach (AC, ACCPH and IPHM accredited), who helps high functioning, heart led people to navigate life’s defining moments. Including death and endings we didn’t choose, the transitions we didn’t see coming, the grief that we carry with us for life, and the quiet longing for something more.
